On Friday night I reacquainted myself with musical comedy and was not disappointed. I was transported to New York City 1922, and spent a wonderful evening being entertained by the cast of ‘Thoroughly Modern Millie.’ For my extended thoughts see the review section of the following website: www.aboutmyarea.co.uk/cm13

It was fab to see the creative skills of several members of Sawyers, and enjoy Sally’s superb singing and dancing ability. Needless to say my husband opted out (his loss), preferring to be entertained by Spiderman or Jack Bauer!

There are may be opportunities in the future to bring a bit of drama and dance back into the church and get the young people involved in exploring their creative abilities. We all have God-given gifts and it’s exciting to see people look at different ways of communicating their faith.

There are some future possibilities coming up for me as well (not singing or dancing I hasten to add!) so watch this space. Sometimes a door opens and you’ve got to walk on through…

‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ Jeremiah 29:11
