I’ve been thinking about new year’s resolutions as 2007 draws to a close, but I want to reflect on the past twelve months before I blog about what I want to achieve in 2008. This morning I was thinking about Mary and how she pondered the events surrounding Jesus’ birth, and then later when he was twelve, treasuring what she saw him becoming when she and Joseph found him in the temple.

It got me thinking about what I’ve treasured from the last twelve months, and all the things I can praise God for. It’s not been the most straightforward year in our ministry lives (slight understatement!) but there have been blessings in the pain; friendships have deepened and we have been upheld by much prayer and support.

The children continue to bring us huge amounts of joy and delight, and seeing them grow and develop keeps a smile in our hearts. Johnny continues to be a strong and courageous leader - an inspiration to many & someone who encourages me to keep going and fulfil my aspirations.

I’ve blogged more consistently this year, and I’m putting in some regular mileage with the running, so I now just need to work on my food intake (arrgh) and knuckle down with the writing. Will formulate my resolutions properly in my next blog.

Have a wonderful 2008 & keep a heavenly focus!
