People who make positive lasting changes to something in our world can be hugely inspirational, and I love to hear the life stories of people who have touched eternity by their actions. Russell Crowe uttered that famous line in the film Gladiator - “What we do in life echoes on eternity..” and we would do well to hold on to that.

I really enjoyed watching the movie “Amazing Grace” recently, and found the portrayal of Wilberforce both moving and inspiring. He had a lot of mountains to climb and despite setbacks he persevered, not even stopping once slavery had been abolished. He kept on campaigning on other issues until his death, a true ‘agent of change’ in every respect.

We are all called upon to be agents of change, and have been entrusted with the most life-changing gift there is, except at times we forget to share it. Jesus came to save people from a lost eternity and the voice of the world is drowning Him out. He needs us to remember what we’re here for. Here are some words from a man who died at the age of 25, yet dedicated his life to being an agent of change:

‘Christ has no hands but our hands to do His work today;
He has no feet but our feet to lead men in His way;
He has no tongue but our tongue to tell men how He died;
He has no help but our help to bring them to His side.’
