Living, Loving, Learning & Leading
I love to read about heros of the faith who have given their lives tirelessly to the cause of the gospel, and Isobel Kuhn is no exception. Her mission was to give her heart, her love and her life to the Lisu people of the Yunnan province, and although her work was hard and relentless, it bore much fruit.
In China villages may cling to the ridges and shoulders of mountains above deep ravines, but there is a spiritual abyss which gapes wide beneath the lives of people all over the globe, in Brentwood as much as anywhere. If we truly care about the people we live amongst we need to take risks to ensure their lives are penetrated by truth. Our job is to point them to the cleft of the Rock, the redeeming and reclaiming power of the cross, ensuring that our community does not become another neglected frontier.
“For I will pour water on the thirsty land,
and streams on the dry ground…” Isaiah 44:3
Johnny and Hannah reside in Essex with their gorgeous kids Noah and Esther. They love to connect with people and make an impact in their local community. Johnny is a church leader with a passion for communicating truth and encouraging people in life-long obedience to Jesus, whilst Hannah keeps the family together and is busy with women's ministry and writing projects. They love life, music, movies, coffee and books, preferably not all at the same time!

Phew…so good to see an OMF book on the list. I was wondering when one would appear. All hail Hudson! Whoops, I mean Jesus.
On a serious note, Isobel Kuhn is an inspiration. I was so excited to be in Yunan province last summer and remember her life and witness.
May God give me the strength and focus to live like her!
