Johnny

is an exiled Ulster-man parked up here in Brentwood as Lead Pastor of Sawyers Church. He has a background in architecture & design and has been involved in local church from a very early age. Before coming to Essex, Johnny spent nine years in youth ministry. He was the Founder and Director of North Staffs Youth for Christ, and during his time in Stoke-on-Trent grew in passion and ministry capacity for the leadership of local church alongside wider community impact. If you wanted to place him theologically then an evangelical, reformed, charismatic might be the way to go!!

He’s privileged to serve as the area chair for Hope 2008, take part in BADEF (local Evangelical Alliance network) and serve as a Trustee for CPO. Along the way Johnny has collected a BSc in Architecture, a Diploma in Biblical Studies and an MA in Systematic Theology & Education, and is completing an MTh in Applied Theology. He describes himself as a ‘life-long learner’ and has a book collection to prove it! Johnny loves to discover new movies, fill his iPod with obscure tunes and loves experimenting as a want-to-be Jamie Oliver! He delights to be Hannah’s husband (1997), and dad to Noah (2001) & Esther (2002).

Hannah

is someone who juggles a number of roles (don’t most women?!) but ultimately aspires to be a woman of God and have a life worth living. She is a Missionary Kid so seeks a global perspective on most things, and has a heart to reach out to people both near and far. Hannah is a freelance writer and gets stuff out there about things that matter. She loves being a wife and mum, delighting in kids Noah & Esther and supporting Johnny in pastoral ministry.

Hannah loves to read and enjoys being part of a local book-group. She is enthusiastic about running and has completed her first half marathon; the challenge remains as to what are the best tunes to run to on her iPod nano!
